While most who buy some bitcoin, rarely do much other than look at it on Coinbase or Robinhood, the degen takes a unique approach to their cryptic experience. The 'degen' or degenerate is someone who gambles and bets their bitcoin against various cryptic innovations as they arrive. They are willing to sail their bitcoin over platforms, across the chains, and into staking protocols where few others venture. They often brag in a very cigarette-smoker's like fashion.
